Property Search

To search for an available site or vacant building:

1. Select the type of property you want.
2. Type in a number for the minimum or maximum size property you want.
3. Select if you want the search to be in Square Feet (for buildings) or Acres (for land).
4. If you want all of the properties available in a CDC area, select the respective CDC.
5. If you want all of the property listed by a specific CDC, select that CDC.
6. Select if you want a property that is for lease.
7. Select if you want a property that is for sale.
8. Click on the Search button

1. Type in the Parcel Number
2. Click on the Search button

1. Type in the Street Address. Remember to include the Street Suffix
2. Click on the Search button

Parcel Information

For detailed parcel information, click on the parcel number link. This will direct you to the CivicNet web site, where detailed property ownership and history is available.

Map Navigation

• To use the Scroll feature, click on one of the eight directional areas and the map
  will scroll in that direction.
• To use the Preset Zoom feature, click one of the zoom boxes. To zoom in, choose a
  box towards the top. To zoom out, choose a box towards the bottom.
• To use the Zoom In feature, click once on the zoom in icon, select a point on the
  map by clicking and holding down the left mouse button, drag the mouse down and to the
  and release.
• To use the Zoom Out feature, click once on the zoom out icon, select a point on the
  map by clicking the left mouse button once.
• To use the Pan Feature, click once on the map while holding down the left mouse button
  and drag the map to its new position.
• To use the Identify feature, click once on the identify icon and select a parcel from
  the map. Any identified parcel can be used to perform demographic and business reports.

Tabs

• The Search tab is used to search for listed properties.
• The Found Sites tab displays the sites that matched the intitial search.
• The Selected Site tab displays the currently selected site.
• The Demographics tab provides demographic reports for the selected site.
• The Businesses tab provides business data for the selected site.
• The Layer Control tab is used to turn specific layers on and off. To turn a layer
  or layers on, click on the box(es) and click on Update Display.
• The Legend tab is used to display the map layer symbols.

Creating a Demographic Report

1. Select a parcel from the map manually or by searching for a property as outlined above under Property Search
2. Click on the Demographics tab.
3. Select the type of report from the pull-down menu.
4. Type in the distance from the property you want the report to cover.
5. Click on the "Calculate" button and a demographic report will be created.

Creating a Business Report

1. Select a parcel from the map manually or by searching for a property as outlined above under Property Search
2. Click on the Businesses tab.
3. Type in the distance for the report to cover and the map to show.
4. Click on the "Calculate" button and a demographic report will be created.
5. After the report has been created, click on an industry link to view the names and addresses of businesses in that industry.
