of recreational opportunities - all in one
city!

- Aquatics - Indy Parks offers water activities at 10 pools, 9 aquatic centers,
and Eagle Creek Beach. Swimming is also available at local YMCA's and the IU Natatorium.
- Boating & Fishing - Available on White River, Fall Creek, Eagle Creek Reservoir,
Geist Reservoir, Lake Indy, and several other small lakes and ponds. There are also 25
miles of canoe trails.
- Conservation Corridors - There are 56 miles of conservation corridors.
- Golf Courses - There are 13 city-owned courses and 18 privately-owned courses
in Marion County. There approximately 100 courses located within 30 minutes of downtown.
- Greenways & Trails - The Indy Parks Greenways system consists of 32 miles of
primary trails and 11.7 miles of secondary trails.
- Ice Skating - Public Ice Skating is available at two city parks, the Coliseum, and
Pan Am Plaza.
- Miscellaneous - There are numerous bowling alleys, dance studios, martial arts
studios, and sports complexes located throughout Indianapolis.
- Nature Trails & Preserves - Nature areas abound in Indianapolis; from nature trails
and centers offered by Indy Parks to nature preserves and conservation areas.
Brown County State
Park and the Hoosier National Forest are less than one hour away.
- Parks - There 149 neighborhood and regional parks in Marion County, comprising
12,000 total acres.
