Recent Projects

Fountain Square Theatre - The renovation by Southeast Neighborhood Development (SEND) and a for-profit developer of a 64,000 s.f. historic building in the heart of the Fountain Square neighborhood. The renovated facility includes meeting/entertainment facilities, retail shops and services, duckpin bowling, and office space.




Murphy Arts Center - The development of a 44,000 s.f. Fountain Square building into a retail and arts studio project. The Center is home to two art galleries, a specialty paper manufacturer, a cafe, a gourmet grocery & wine shop, and several arts studios. This project stimulated the arrival of additional new businesses to nearby vacant storefronts. Developed by SEND.



Davlan - Commercial space, the renovation of vacant ground floor space on Massachusetts Avenue into retail space for Starbucks coffee and a local home furnishings start-up. Developed by Riley Area Development Corp.

Building Inventory Database
  Genesis Plaza - the construction of a new 30,000 square foot neighborhood health center with office space and a home for the Martindale Brightwood Community Development Corporation (MBCDC). This project was co-developed by MBCDC, HealthNet and Indiana OIC. It was completed in the summer of 2001.




Quality Hardware Store - Located at 2102 W Morris Street in Indianapolis, the store was opened in a building owned by West Indianapolis Development Corporation (WIDC). LISC funds were used for build-out and inventory costs.





Laundromat - An attractive new laundromat now services the residents of West Indianapolis with assistance from WIDC, INHP and LISC.







Emrich - The adaptive re-use of a 64,000 s.f. vacant structure into office and warehouse space. Including a training center, this project has become an ideal space for a variety of small business and non-profit tenants. Developed by Concord CDC.





Mozingo - This project combined low income housing tax credits to provide supportive housing and retail opportunities to the near eastside neighborhood.






Audrey's Place - Audrey's Place is a small business located in the TenEast Main Street District. Audrey's benefitted recently from a facade improvement grant with the assistance of TenEast, LISC and the City of Indianapolis.
